crochet thread

If you are just beginning I would recommend a medium weight yarn, a basic four-ply yarn of good quality. And not only is it a hobby that you can have fun with and use your imagination but you can really be industrial with it.

There are numerous crochet patterns for afghan blankets. Even those already familiar with the art of crochet find much to learn from these magazines. I always buy an extra ball than is recommended in the pattern just in case you need a bit extra, most good yarn stores will accept them back if you've bought too many.

There are step-by-step instructions on making one. A crochet baby pattern can be used for practice for virtually any crochet design. Many of these crochet magazines provide information on where to purchase crochet equipment and patterns too.

Take your time and concentrate on your technique. That is one of the great things about crochet.
