free crochet hat patterns

Many people, when hearing the word crochet, instantly conjure the image of an elderly woman sitting in a chair, crochet hook held firmly in arthritic fingers as she concocts another table doily. For those who are just beginning the art of crochet, you have probably completed many a blanket.

By learning a few basic crochet stitches you will be able to make some really nice crochet projects. Before this time crochet had been handed down through families with each generation passing on the skills. When you finish the crocheted item, take a picture of it and keep it in a photo album so when someone asks what you crochet, you can show them.

There are so many great wools and threads to choose from, you can make anything you want. I know that there many of you out there who don't think that they know anyone who crochets. Yarns can be made of synthetic or natural fibers.

Crochet may seem complicated at first, but is really simple once you learn how. A free crochet pattern for an afghan cover is not only a great way to start, but it is also fun.
